"Monetizing Your Data: A Guide to Turning Data into Profit-Driving Strategies and Solutions" is the name of the book recently released by a pair of data analysis experts that teaches entrepreneurs how to turn their companies' data into real profits. According to Andrew Roman Wells and Kathy Williams Chiang, companies can achieve even more financial results by better analyzing their data.
Chiang (Vice President of Business Insights at Wunderman) teamed up with Wells (CEO of Management Consulting at Aspirent) and saw the opportunity to unite his two focuses, since, while she has her direction more focused on the analysis of data, the entrepreneur works with leaders and strategies.
By looking at how disjointed these two processes usually work within companies in general, they found that they could "bring more objectivity to the planning side and more meaning and purpose to the data side". Also according to the VP, "this shows how much quantitative and qualitative [analysis] can be connected to the business environment".
